TTControl’s IoT solution TTConnect Cloud Service is now compatible with 4G networks, making the service future-proof for our customers.
TTControl’s off-the-shelf connectivity solution enables manufacturers of mobile machinery to monitor and manage their vehicles at any time with any web-enabled device. It includes a hardware unit named TTConnect Wave (IoT gateway), a M2M SIM card as well as a cloud service platform and a web portal. As the service is now 4G compatible, it provides much higher data rates to ensure faster data transfer. Customers will benefit particularly in respect to transferring large files, for example firmware updates of their ECUs.
By ensuring 4G compatibility, TTControl is able to offer TTConnect Cloud Service as a future-proof solution to our customers. More and more operators already started to sunset their 2G and 3G networks, preparing for 4G (LTE) and 5G. At some point in the future 2G and 3G networks will be shut down completely, albeit in some regions sooner than in others. As the 5G network needs to be interworked with the existing LTE network, 4G customers can be supported for a comparatively long period of time, offering ideal conditions for long-term customer projects.
